Savor Sea Pines, the Lowcountry’s newest epicurean festival, brings some of the finest chefs in the world to Hilton Head Island in February for a month-long celebration of food, wine and spirits. Held in The Sea Pines Resort’s most acclaimed venues, events will include fabulous dinners, tastings, demonstrations and classes – all socially distanced with enhanced COVID-19 protocols in place.

Oyster Demo and Champagne Tasting

Join French Master Chef Nico Romo in the Harbour Town Clubhouse for an oyster demo and Champagne tasting sponsored by the prominent French Champagne house, Moët & Chandon. A Monterey Bay Aquarium Sustainable Seafood Ambassador and owner of NICO Oysters + Seafood in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, Romo will demonstrate how to shuck fresh oysters and make a quick dish featuring the meaty, briny mollusks harvested from our own local riverbanks, sea marshes and creeks. Experience the gastronomic talents of French-born Chef Nico Romo, the youngest-ever U.S. member of The French Culinary Academy and the only French Master Chef in South Carolina, as he prepares an inspired oyster dinner at the Harbour Town Clubhouse blending the French culinary tradition with our Lowcountry seafood heritage. His restaurant, NICO, in Mount Pleasant has garnered a host of accolades since opening in 2018. Most recently, he launched Bistronomy By Nico earning rave reviews for the French bistro concept located in the downtown Charleston historic district. Charleston’s Chef BJ Dennis, known for his authentic Gullah Geechee cuisine, Chef Nathan Beriau of the Forbes Five Star Montage Palmetto Bluff and Atlanta’s Chef Todd Richards, a self-taught chef and two-time James Beard Foundation semifinalist for Best Chef: Southeast, will be at the grill working their magic. At this cocktail-themed party, guests will enjoy passed appetizers and classic cocktails inspired by Quarterdeck menu favorites while taking in views of the 18th hole of Harbour Town Golf Links and beautiful Calibogue Sound.
